Double End Keyway Machines
Overview
The custom designed double end keyway machine was designed to cut keyways on the end of 80-inch long shafts simultaneously. The shaft is automatically loaded from a transfer line, picked up, clamped, machined and returned to the line for assembly.
Carbide end mills mounted in high speed spindles allow the keyways at both ends of the shaft to be in the exact same plane. Heavy-duty slides provide a stable base for the high speed milling operation.
Custom designed part handling for quick load/unload of part.
Rugged base construction with heavy duty slides and spindles.
Applications
Double end machining of shafts, axles, forgings, bar stock and tubing.
